Services I offer.

I've always been an empath: a person who feels what others feel. That's why I'm so passionate about about protecting and advocating for others. In our work together, I'll share the practical tools and wisdom I’ve gathered over the years from honoring, nurturing and empowering elders and their families. My services focus on providing genuine support, peace, validation and relief going forward.
Aging Well Coaching:
For Retirees and Adult Children with Aging Parents
I see coaching as a partnership that offers a thought-provoking and creative process to inspire and maximize your personal empowerment and potential. My coaching is designed to facilitate the awakening and development of your desires, dreams and goals and to develop a strategy plan for achieving those goals. As an Aging Well Coach, I support individuals, family members, and professional caregivers and facility staff facing their own or another’s aging, dementia, and/or mortality.
Consultation:
For Aging Clients and Families
My consultation services focus on creating a transition plan for an aging client and/or family member. These services provide short-term interventions to support an individual and/or family members as they transition usually from greater independence to lesser independence, based on medical, social, emotional, or cognitive changes. The goal of consulting in this manner is to increase the quality of the aging adult’s life and help family members learn how they can best offer support.
Care Management:
For Vulnerable Elders and their Families
A care manager is a health and human services specialist who acts as a guide and advocate for clients and/or families who are caring for older relatives or disabled adults. Care management services includes both an initial geriatric care assessment, multiple consultations, the creation of an individualized care plan and ongoing care management. A geriatric care assessment is an evaluation an older adult’s physical safety in their home, medical history, nutrition, cognition, and social network. This assessment also includes an activities of daily living (eating, bathing, getting dressed, toileting, transferring and continence). Following this initial assessment, I'll create an individualized care plan for you or your loved one. If we determine ongoing care management services are needed, I'll continue to oversee care of the client, including accompanying and transporting to and from physician and specialist appointments, researching options for care, arranging for services, monitoring of services, verbal and /or written reporting, as well as communicating with family members and other professionals. The focus of these services is to empower families and support networks.
End-of-Life Doula Care:
For Dying Individuals and their Families
End-of-life doula care makes a tremendous difference in the dying process, transforming a potential death experience that is fraught with fear and anxiety into one that is mindful, meaningful and sacred. As an end-of-life doula, I support people who are dying as well as their families by witnessing, guiding and holding space. Often, we'll create legacy projects and conduct vigils in the last days or hours of death. As your doula, I will provide emotional, spiritual, and physical support using deep active listening, music, touch, guided imagery, and rituals of your choosing. My doula work is always conducted in collaboration and cooperation with medical practitioners, spiritual leaders, hospice teams and family members and loved ones. I'll also provide reprocessing and early grief support for the family members and loved ones after the death.
